Pen Before Phone is operated by José Eduardo Andrade Junior, an individual based in Brazil ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@penbeforephone.com. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you visit penbeforephone.com or buy Pen Before Phone: 30 Days, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- When you visit this website: technical data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. If advertising measurement is on, the Meta Pixel sets cookies that tell us which ads bring visitors and sales.
- When you buy: Hotmart runs the checkout and the members area. Hotmart collects your name, email, country and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card number. Hotmart shares with us your name, email, country and order details so we can deliver the journal and help you.
- When you write to us: your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
How we use it
- To give you access to what you bought and to answer your questions.
- To send emails about your journal, such as the morning reminder for each day. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve our ads and this website.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (delivery and support), our legitimate interest in running and improving the business, your consent for advertising cookies and marketing emails where consent is required, and legal obligations.
Who else handles your data
- Hotmart: checkout, payments, refunds and the members area.
- Cloudflare: hosting of this website and email forwarding.
- Google Fonts: delivery of the fonts used on this website, which involves your IP address.
- Meta: advertising measurement, only if cookies are allowed.
- Our email provider: sending the emails described above.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Under some US state laws, using advertising cookies can count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time (see below).
Cookies and your choices
Visitors in the UK and the European Union are asked before any advertising cookie is set. Anyone, anywhere, can switch advertising cookies off with the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep support messages for up to two years. Email contacts stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. California residents can ask what we collect and why, ask us to delete it, and opt out of sharing for targeted advertising. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights. Write to support@penbeforephone.com and we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We are based in Brazil and our providers work in several countries, so your information may be processed outside your own. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
Pen Before Phone is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
